Areia e Pedra

An exploration of time, family, and geology through sand, stones, oil, shells, ashes, and the color white in the American Southwest. The performance took place at MCO Contemporânea in Porto, Portugal at the opening of Cristina Regadas‘s Etorno Retorno. During the performance, photos from Texas, Mexico, New Mexico, Arizona, and California were projected on my body as I drew onto the wall, layering each image. The piece’s written and spoken text was translated to Portuguese and performed by Filipa Araújo.
