Swans was a solo exhibition at Jardín in Houston, Texas. Intimate in scale and inspired by photographs found in books and online, Swans featured approximately 30 glazed ceramic pieces, as well as nearly 30 ink and pastel drawings on paper. These pieces playfully explore the iconic bird’s graceful form and poetic associations while experimenting with mark making and color. The ceramics explore a growing visual vocabulary in tactile, tile-like pieces that are carved and glazed. The exhibition was on view from December 10, 2022 to January 10, 2023.
