Bio

Lauren Moya Ford (Boca Ratón, 1986) is a Texan artist, writer, and translator based in Madrid, Spain. She has exhibited and performed her work at The Menil Collection, Rice University, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston Hirsch Library, Temple University, Desperate Literature (Madrid), MCO Arte Contemporânea (Porto), and others. She has participated in residencies at El Centro de Arte La Regenta (Las Palmas, ES), O Sol Aceita a Pele para Ficar (Guimarães, PT), and Ox Bow School of Art (Michigan, US). Her writing and visual art have been featured in Hyperallergic, Asymptote Journal, The Island Review, Glasstire, Dragaria Revista Canaria de Literatura, Gulf Coast Journal, and Fields Magazine, and her essays have been published in exhibition catalogs for galleries, art centers, and museums in Spain, Portugal, and the United States. In 2018 she created Editorial Froitas, an independent art and poetry press. Awards include the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center Fellowship for Interdisciplinarity and the Frank Freed Travel Grant for research in Mexico City.
