Areia e Pedra

An exploration of time, family, and geology through sand, stones, oil, shells, ashes, and the color white in the American Southwest. The performance took place at MCO Contemporânea in Porto, Portugal at the opening of Cristina Regadas‘s Etorno Retorno. During the performance, photos from Texas, Mexico, New Mexico, Arizona, and California were projected on my body as I drew onto the wall, layering each image. I also made an artist book of my photos and writing in English and Portuguese versions, translation by Filipa Araújo.
